Nanna Ditzel
Nanna Ditzel (1923–2005) was one of the most influential figures in Danish design, celebrated for her experimental approach and remarkable ability to unite artistic expression with everyday function. Trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, she developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship that shaped her work throughout her career.
A Shared Commitment to Craft
During a decade-long collaboration with Brdr. Krüger, many of her ideas and prototypes came to life in the family’s woodshop, where her visionary designs were realised through generations of woodworking expertise. Her pioneering work earned her numerous international awards and continues to inspire designers around the world.
