Amid the whispering pines of Northern Zealand, Denmark, Guest House No. 16 stands as a serene coastal refuge. Originally built in 1934 as an annex to a seaside guesthouse, the Italian-inspired villa has been meticulously restored and gently reimagined, preserving its layered history while unfolding a contemplative, modern identity.
The design concept balances history and modernity, weaving Italian Neoclassicism’s refined proportions with Scandinavian clarity and subtle Japanese aesthetics. Light plays across quiet surfaces, materials age gracefully, and handcrafted details create a tactile, immersive environment. The interiors are defined by serenity, where rustic textures and muted tones coexist with sophistication, inviting calm and timeless comfort
The F Chair with armrest, crafted in natural paper cord, was chosen for its tactile warmth and sculptural elegance. Its slender profile and clean lines complement the historic architecture of the house, while the natural cord reflects the surrounding landscape, creating a visual and physical connection to the outdoors. Placed in the dining room, the chair encourages comfort, harmonizing effortlessly with the curated furniture and artisanal objects.
